Lincoln Ladies can confirm that Manager Glen Harris has been relieved of his duties with the first team squad, following an internal review into the teams performance throughout the 2012 FAWSL season.
The Lady Imps finished the season with back-to-back wins, against Everton and Chelsea, but this was still only enough to claim fifth spot in the table and the club's Chief Executive, Luke Negus-Hill felt that the time was right to bring a new impetus to the squad during the close season.
"Glen has done a fantastic job for Lincoln Ladies, from the very start, and we cannot thank him enough for the work that he has done behind the scenes at all levels and most recently as first team Manager," explained Negus-Hill.
"Unfortunately, with the ambition that the clubs holds to continue our growth and expansion, we felt that a new approach to the first team may be beneficial and we will now be starting the search for the ideal candidate to take the club forwards.
"I am delighted to say that Glen will continue in his role as Technical Director of the club's Centre of Excellence, his knowledge, experience and dedication will continue to be a massive asset to the club and we are better as an organisation for his continued involvement."
The search for a new first team Manager will now get underway, with the club determined to explore all avenues to find the ideal candidate and ensure that we continue to challenge on all fronts in the coming seasons.
