Lincoln Ladies

Lincoln Ladies look to stop a run of three straight defeats as they host Everton Ladies, for their last home game of the season.

After defeats to Doncaster, Birmingham and Arsenal in their last three games, and one win in seven, the girls will be desperate to gain a valuable three points, which could see them move up to fifth, with one game remaining. 

Everton will be tough to defeat, however, with the toffees currently sitting in second position, and having got the better of Lincoln in the reverse fixture, winning by a goal to nil.

The blues defence has been key to their season, having the second best defensive record in the league. Lincoln, however, aren’t shy in front of goal and have notched up 19 goals in their 12 games, the third highest total out of the Super League teams.

The Lady Imps welcome back Sophie Bradley, and Captain Casey Stoney from their international duty with England. The lionesses ran out 3-0 winners over Croatia, with the two Lincoln centre halves keeping a clean sheet. Lincoln fans will be hoping for much of the same on Sunday.

With six points form their last two games, Lincoln could finish as high as fourth, as they face fifth placed Chelsea on the last game of the season.
